Introduction

The Lavida Experience was more than a show. It was a multi-city concert tour, representing a new chapter for Joeboy. It symbolized freedom, growth, and the bold step into a more expressive sound.

As a member of the team at Metacraft, I served as the Lead Motion Designer, where my task was to develop screen visuals that elevated the live concert experience, turning each performance into a cinematic, emotionally charged journey.

Challenge

Joeboy’s message was clear: this tour was about more than music. It was about feeling something. We needed to translate his sound into a visual rhythm that matched the emotional highs of each song, while also creating visual cohesion across different stages and venues.

The visuals had to feel alive, sync seamlessly with the music, and immerse audiences night after night.

Approach

The starting point was a Key Visual (KV) designed by a fellow creative at Metacraft. From that, I animated and extended the look into concert screen visuals—designing animated loops, transitions, and layered motion graphics that served as a backdrop to Joeboy’s live performances.

I focused on emotional pacing, light play, and fluidity—ensuring the visuals amplified each beat drop, lyric, and energy spike throughout the show.
